Jacque Darragh
Jacque Darragh is a singer/songwriter who enjoys leading music and worship for retreats. A certified spiritual director, she brings her long-time experience as a parish music director, workshop facilitator and pastoral musician to bring people renewal and refreshment through her music. Her enthusiasm for people is contagious.
She and husband, Thomas, have two children and three grandchildren and reside in Pasadena/Houston, Texas.
EDUCATION
Jacque graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas and then attended San Jacinto College. She became a licensed massage therapist in Texas in 1993. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Humanities from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2000. She earned her Master of Arts in Nutrition from American Health Science University (online) along with her licensure as a Certified Nutritionist in 2003. In 2005, she completed her Naturopathic Doctoral degree from Trinity College of Health. She also has advanced course studies with American College of Oriental Medicine in Houston as well as Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena.
Jacque has thousands of hours in post-graduate studies including Neuro-Emotional Technique, Total Body Modification, Body Talk, Psych-K, Foot Reflexology, and Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry as well as 300 post-graduate hours in Nutrition from Texas Chiropractic College.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Jacque and her husband, Dr. Thomas J. Darragh, a licensed Texas Doctor of Chiropractic, have worked together most of their married life. In 1985, they founded Darragh Wellness Center, a wholistic chiropractic office where Jacque has worked as office manager, insurance secretary, massage therapist, and clinical nutritionist. In 2008, the Darraghs sold their office building and Dr. Tom semi-retired.
Jacque researched and co-founded a brand new vocational department at San Jacinto College and helped bring massage therapy in Texas to the college level. She was the first instructor for the program, teaching anatomy and physiology, health and hygiene, hydrotherapy, business and ethics, as well as the hands-on portion of massage therapy itself.
Jacque has recently started a new position as secretary for Human Sciences and Humanities at the University of Houston, Clear Lake.
